Laut Bahru is working towards solving the challenges in waste management polluting our ocean and river. Founded in 2024, we are committed to revolutionising waste management to address the global crisis of increasing waste and overflowing landfills. Waste impacts our environment, marine life, and human health.
We bring together expertise in marine conservation, engineering, and waste management to protect our ecosystems.
At Laut Bahru, we believe it's time for a new approach. Our mission is to rethink waste handling by evaluating the entire waste chain, aiming to unlock and maximise the value of waste as a resource for society.
We identify and remove waste in rivers before it reaches the ocean. By deploying tailored technologies and infrastructure—such as barriers in rivers—we stop pollution where it starts and reduce the burden on marine ecosystems.
We design and implement scalable waste segregation, processing, and recycling facilities. From Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs) to biogas systems, we modernize local waste systems to reduce landfill, improve circularity, and create new value from waste.
We work with local partners and communities to drive behavioral change, increase awareness, and create green jobs. Through shoreline cleanups, educational programs, and support for fisheries and tourism, they ensure both the environment and local economies benefit.
